For this senior account management position, you’ll need to:
- Be indispensable to your clients through thoughtful, active partnership – providing thought leadership in media and beyond.
- Manage other account team members including setting and sharing project objectives, timelines, tasks and relevant account information.
- Ensure that the team members from the different departments are working to the same objective and understands how their respective contributions come together to support the full campaign.
- Coordinate, manage and participate in the planning process including research/analysis of data to inform client recommendations.
- Develop in-depth understanding of your client’s business, industry and be able to leverage this insight to build the most productive campaigns.
- Be a student of your craft and share your knowledge internally and with clients.
- Lead the development and presentation of client recommendations, all while fully leveraging input from other agency departments.
- Present plans to clients and integrate new decisions into the strategic agenda and plan.
- Review execution of plans including meeting with team/department managers to review buys, integrate buys into summary for presentations and ensuring buys meet with client and Blitz objectives.
- Meet with vendor partners and collaborate with our buyers regarding specific opportunities and ideas for a client account.
- Participate in new business development.
Knowledge and Experience:
You know how to lead and grow business, yet are also a master of collaboration across various internal groups. You have a solid understanding of the principles of account management and have extraordinary people skills. You have a basic understanding of the placement and negotiation of all media options. You have a solid understanding of consumer behavior and marketing principles for various business categories, in order help clients identify appropriate mindset-based targets.
You know how to effectively assess client business situations and devise powerful near- and long-term plans to optimize impact. You get that delivering profitable sales results for our clients is the key to our collective success – and you know how to ensure this is exactly what happens every time out.
