Interactive Coordinator


As an Interactive Operations Coordinator, you are an integral member of our team. 

You have a deep understanding and general love for the Internet.   You will learn and assist interactive services team with several aspects of an online media buy.  As our Interactive Operations Coordinator you will provide support and ensures timely and accurate completion of online campaign deliverables.  You will play a central role in online campaign execution, quality assurance and results reporting. 

You are a motivated self-starter who takes initiative and desires a position with the opportunity in Interactive media industry. 

You are customer-service oriented and have a commitment to continually learn new processes and information.  You are a multitasker who can stay organized, in a fast-paced environment.  You are results driven and take pride in demonstrating success through data.

As an Interactive Operations Coordinator, you will be responsible for daily trafficking tasks of online ad campaigns.   In this position you will develop a strong understanding of the tasks involved in online campaign implementation, execution, media buying processes and third party ad servers.

We hope that you would have at least one year’s experience in an online advertising or marketing-related field.  You should have clear understanding of the internet and must be comfortable with technology.   Preferred candidates will have at least 6 months experience in media or project management. 

You should be familiar with Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.  Experience with third party ad server technology such as Mediaplex, Interactive research tools such as comScore or media buying applications such as Strata are a plus, but not required. 

Specific duties and responsibilities include:

Team Support

  • Support interactive team in all aspects on online media buying process

Plan Execution

  • Understand/collect creative/technical specifications from sites on all creative units Specifications include but are not limited to: K sizes, pixel sizes, technical capabilities, traffic deadlines, etc. specific to each site
  • Traffic tags and/or creative elements to sites as per the creative rotation instructions
  • Instruct relevant parties on implementation of tags/code to ensure the integrity of the test plan
  • Test tags and creative executions with publishers in determining possible implementation issues that may arise; troubleshoot as needed

Quality Assurance

  • QA all campaigns elements (responsibilities may vary pending complexity of campaign)
  • Ensure all creative units, placements, click-over URLs, click commands are correct and correspond to the traffic sheet prior to campaign launch
  • Cross-check that all data (contracted impressions, flight dates, costs, etc.) have been input into the third party system correctly based on buy summary, insertion orders and creative rotation
  • Maintain weekly QA and documentation of all creative units, placements, alt text, click over URLs, click commands, back-end tags/pixels and impression delivery
  • Notify relevant parties on status in an ongoing basis

Technical Responsibilities

  • Identify recurrent issues and alert, manager to specific issues and  possible solutions
  • Become proficient in Microsoft Excel and Mediaplex (third party ad server)
  • Attend and participate in presentations from vendors and/or conferences offering media solutions that may be relevant to the interactive services group

Buy Reconciliation

  • Managing of the vendor insertion order process including creating and revising IOs as needed, collecting signed IOs and maintaining record of IOs
  • Entering all aspects of client campaigns in Blitz's media buying system (Strata); Reviewing client reconciliation folders
  • Building vendor relationships through effective communication via telephone/meetings and work to form partnerships and learning the nuances of media vendors with whom there is regular contact
  • Learning media terminology and technologies (ie. comScore) to form a thorough understanding of market research and the ability to evaluate media options

Print Media Reconciliation Coordinator


 

Our ideal candidate is super organized with a tremendous attention to detail and has the ability to juggle many requests and reprioritize quickly. 

In this role, you will collect invoices from newspapers and magazines and reconcile against our advertising orders.   You will have telephone contact with ad representatives to ensure we receive invoices on-time and to follow-up on any discrepancies.  You will assist media vendors by providing payment information; you will follow-through on each project until every detail has been completed.  You will open and sort mail as required. 

You must be super-organized and able to work swiftly and efficiently, as we are always under tight deadlines.   You are an adept problem-solver and work quickly to analyze issues, evaluate solutions and make recommendations.  Your computer skills are strong and you’re superb with Excel.

In addition, you will enhance your knowledge and growth by assisting our media planners and buyers with client projects on an ad hoc basis.   You will learn and understand media terminology and contribute innovative ideas to aid in our clients’ success.

This position requires successful experience, high energy, assertiveness, good judgment, and the ability to be a good leader and role model for our company.  Reporting to the CFO, the Director of Business Development is responsible for developing new client relationships in all phases of broadcast, print, online and out of home.  Blitz Media has world class media capabilities and seeks to attract clients with media expenditures in the $5 to $35 million range.

The ideal candidate is a dynamic, energetic sales professional and relationship builder with at least three to five years of experience successfully selling high value business services to corporations. A Bachelors' degree in business is preferred.  Let’s put it this way…in order to be successful in this position you’ll need to understand people, business and the art of selling…and you’ll have to be able to prove it.

Human Resource Partner

Reporting to the President, you will be involved in all aspects for Human Resources including company wide recruitment, employee programs, benefits, compensation, training, development, new hire/termination processes, benefits, compensation, employee relations, and other Human Resources areas as required.

This is initially a three day a week position with potential for a full-time role.

Your day to day :

  • Acts as advisor and advocate on human resources issues to all employees throughout the organization

Your expertise

  • Extensive knowledge of employment law human recourses practices, training methods, recruiting/interviewing methods, and benefits design and compensation design strategies.
  • Extremely well organized and absolutely diligent about details
  • You possess a sense of urgency and responsibility above the norm

Media Planner


As a Media Planner, you are responsible for managing the client media plans.  You provide primary media research and planning support to account teams.  You perform analyses and provide recommendations for all media projects on your assigned account list.   To be most successful, you must be organized, efficient, “the source” for media issues relative to your accounts.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a thorough understanding of media planning, media attributes and trends.
  • Use knowledge to work in partnership with the account teams to analyze data and participate in planning discussions.
  • Actively contribute to the planning process, contributing ideas to attain a clear strategy to the plan which supports the client’s business goals.
  • Design media plans and presentations for Blitz clients.
  • Contribute significantly to planning meetings with clients.
  • Assist in the development of accurate metrics for post campaign analysis.
  • Recommend and understand Blitz research resources, including Arbitron, Nielsen and other qualitative and quantitative research capabilities.
  • Support members of the Client Service group in various projects required to meet client needs.
  • Build and maintain client relationships.
  • Maintain a positive attitude in the face of a constantly changing environment, remaining enthusiastic in the face of setbacks. 

Knowledge and Experience:

  • You have a background in advertising and media.
  • You have knowledge of different media types, with emphasis on positive and negative attributes, and understand how they apply to various marketing situations.
  • You demonstrate a commitment to stay abreast of the changing media landscape and the implications of these trends.
  • You have media planning experience and continue to develop proficiency through training and independent initiative.
  • You have worked with media research and understand the application of that research to various client situations.
  • You have a strong working knowledge of presentation creation and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • You work effectively in a team setting.
